I received two new photo books today. ‘the last resort’ by Martin Parr and ‘untitled’ by Jack Simon, published via Blurb. Guess what, Jack Simons book is definitely more fun to flip through. Jack put together some awesome street shots – the book is well worth the 50 € Blurb made me paid. Traditional publishers will have hard times with more self-publishing photographers like Jack Simon.

I bought these two books by Andreas Herzau yesterday. Both books are a wild mix of black&white and color images. This is something i never thought i would like but actually it works out pretty well. Thames & Hudson book designer Johanna Neurath posted a picture last week of a proof of their new title “Street Photography Now”, by Sophie Howard and Stephen McLaren, which will arrive later this year. This book will also feature Seconds2Real photographer Siegfried Hansen which is well deserved.
