color street photography slideshow

I put together a slideshow of color street photography images that i took over the last 12 months. I am not quite sure if color street photography is what i want to do in future. I am really looking forward to see what the responses to this slideshow will be.

The video is also available on youtube and, in much better quality, on vimeo.

I think this works very well! Very Berlin, very Kreuzberg/Neukoelln. There are very strong pictures and some others that I would have sorted out. But all in all – the change to colour fints you good!
What I don’t like so much is the music in combination with these images. I thing the lyrics draw to much attention. It’s always very hard to find a suitable music track to photography slide shows I think.

My personal opinion about color photography is that there are a few pictures where it makes sense (like the one at icc or the picture after this on the stairs) but mostly a picture (especially in streetphotography) is about an action, so the colors just steal the attention of the real subject i think. There are much pictures in the slideshow which work fine for me in color (for example if the background is all grey and you only have one ore two strong colors in it), but i think some would look better b/w. just my opinion.
